Marketing Executive

We are looking for a dynamic, smart, and result-oriented Marketing Executive for our Book Distribution House / Book Publishing House. The candidate will be responsible for visiting schools, coaching centres, colleges, institutions, and educators to promote books, generate business opportunities, build relationships, and support academic sales growth.

• Key Responsibilities:Field Marketing & School VisitsVisit schools, coaching centres, colleges, tuition centres, and educational institutions regularly.
• Meet principals, coordinators, teachers, librarians, and management representatives.
• Introduce company profile, available publications, and distribution services.
• Carry and present sample copies of books to relevant subject teachers.
• Explain features, syllabus relevance, content quality, and advantages of books.
• Book Selection & Academic PromotionInvite schools and institutions to visit our office/showroom for book selection for upcoming academic sessions.
• Coordinate meetings for book review and title selection.
• Promote new editions, revised titles, and latest academic books.
• Understand school requirements class-wise, subject-wise, and board-wise.
• Collect feedback from teachers regarding books, syllabus changes, and market trends.
• Lead Generation & Business DevelopmentGenerate new school, coaching, and institutional leads.
• Develop relationships with teachers for long-term business association.
• Identify decision-makers and convert prospects into customers.
• Follow up regularly for adoption, orders, and repeat business.
• Expand market reach in assigned territories.
• Product Knowledge & LearningLearn about books, publishers, authors, subjects, boards, and academic requirements.
• Stay updated on curriculum changes and market demand.
• Understand competitor products and market positioning.
• Reporting & CoordinationSubmit daily visit reports, lead reports, and follow-up status to management.
• Coordinate with office, tele-sales, dispatch, billing, and backend teams.
• Ensure smooth processing of inquiries, samples, and confirmed orders.
• Maintain database of schools, teachers, contacts, and market visits.
• Promotional ActivitiesAssist in exhibitions, book fairs, seminars, workshops, and academic events.
• Support seasonal campaigns for new academic sessions.
• Promote company brand image professionally in the market.
• Required Skills:Excellent communication and convincing skills.
• Good personality and professional appearance.
• Fluency in Hindi, English, and Bengali preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building ability.
• Smart, dedicated, and target-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to travel extensively for field work.
• Ability to learn quickly about books and academic markets.
• Mandatory Requirements:Two-wheeler is a must for field visits.
• Valid driving license preferred.
• Preferred Additional Requirement:Candidate carrying a laptop is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, email, and reporting tools.
• Preferred Experience:Experience in educational sales, publishing sales, book distribution, school marketing, or field sales preferred.

Job Role Summary:The Marketing Executive will visit educational institutions, promote books, distribute sample copies, build teacher and school relationships, generate business, and help increase sales for the book distribution/publishing house.
