Production Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Plan and manage daily production shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
2. Supervise and effectively handle production manpower across all assigned shifts.
3. Allocate manpower based on production requirements, work priorities, and operational efficiency.
4. Define, calculate, monitor, and improve process cycle times to achieve optimum productivity.
5. Identify minor machine breakdowns, coordinate timely corrective actions, and work towards minimizing machine downtime.
6. Manage and monitor the quality of work carried out by a team of 25-30 shift workers.
7. Ensure continuity of production activities during shift changes and minimize operational interruptions.
8. Maintain effective coordination and communication with Production Supervisors of other shifts to ensure seamless workflow and proper handover of responsibilities.
9. Maintain accurate production-related records and update the required data in Google Sheets or any other reporting formats as prescribed by the management.
10. Coordinate with outsourcing/job work vendors and ensure timely dispatch of materials as well as receipt of outsourced job work to avoid production delays.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-7 years of experience in a similar role or industry (sheet metal manufacturing).

• Diploma/B.Tech / B.E. degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.

• Strong understanding of bending machine operation, CO2 welding techniques, laser cutting machines, spot welding methods, sheet metal fabrication processes.

• Excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate teams towards achieving common goals.

• Must be willing to work in two shifts (alternate week).

• Must have own bike and residence at a commutable distance from Gokul Shirgaon MIDC.
