Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who can take complete ownership of the mechanical side of our machine manufacturing process.

The candidate should be capable of:

•     Designing and developing mechanical assemblies and machine structures.

•     Designing instrument cabinets, electrical enclosures, mounting arrangements and fabrication drawings.

•     Preparing manufacturing drawings and coordinating with CNC turning, milling, laser cutting, bending and fabrication vendors.

•     Following up with vendors to ensure parts are manufactured correctly and delivered on time.

•     Checking dimensions, tolerances and quality of manufactured components.

•     Managing mechanical inventory and ensuring required parts are available as per production requirements.

•     Handling complete machine assembly and resolving fitment, alignment and mechanical issues during production.

•     Developing prototypes and converting concepts into production-ready products.

We are not looking for a person who only works on CAD software. We need someone who can independently handle design, fabrication, vendor coordination, cabinet development, assembly and final execution of the mechanical work.

Required Skills:

•     AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor or similar software understanding.

•     Good understanding of sheet metal design, cabinet fabrication, CNC machining and manufacturing processes.

•     Knowledge of tolerances, mechanical fittings, hardware selection and assembly practices.

•     Ability to interact with vendors and get jobs completed within timelines.

•     Hands-on approach towards machine building and problem solving.

•          Instrumentation systems

•          Automation equipment

•          Environmental monitoring systems

•          Industrial machine manufacturing

The ideal candidate should be capable of taking a project from concept to final assembled machine and ensuring all mechanical activities are completed accurately and on time.
