  • Design and develop welding procedures for new products and materials.
  • Select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and consumables.
  • Optimize welding parameters to enhance productivity and minimize defects.
  • Conduct weld inspections and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO).
  • Investigate welding-related quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support non-destructive testing (NDT) and metallurgical evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Lead and supervise the welding team, including working in shifts when required.
  • Train, qualify, and continuously develop welders and operators.
  • Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot welding-related issues.
  • Drive initiatives to improve welding efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen safety practices.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in welding technology and recommend relevant upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Welding Engineer (AWS CWE or IWE) with strong proficiency in welding processes.
  • NDT Level II certifications in RT, PT, and UT methods.
