Plant Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility specializing in Natural Caramel (Liquid and Powder) and Natural Food Colors. As we expand our product pipeline, the ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end production cycle—from raw material planning to final packaging—while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality compliance.

The successful candidate will be a technical leader capable of managing complex utilities including Boilers, RO plants, and ETPs, while driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Strategic Planning

• Operations Management: Oversee the daily production of liquid and powder caramel and natural food colors.
• Planning: Execute robust Raw Material Planning and Production Scheduling to meet delivery timelines and optimize inventory levels.
• Inventory Control: Manage the handling and storage of diverse inputs, including liquids, powders, and compressed gases.

2. Technical & Utility Oversight

• Utility Management: Direct responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the Boiler, RO Water Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and Cooling Towers.
• Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical lead for plant-level troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Maintenance: Implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all plant machinery and utility equipment.

3. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Compliance: Ensure the plant operates strictly within the regulatory frameworks (FSSAI/ISO/HACCP) and environmental standards it was designed for.
• Packaging Excellence: Oversee the integrity of both raw material intake and finished product packaging (liquid bottling/bulk and powder bagging).

4. Leadership & People Management

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and discipline the production team to foster a culture of safety and high performance.
• Resource Optimization: Align manpower and machinery usage with the evolving needs of the production pipeline.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Proven track record in the Natural Food Color or Caramel industry (strongly preferred).
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of food processing equipment and the handling of various physical states of materials (Liquid, Powder, Gas).
• Utility Expertise: Practical experience in managing industrial utilities (Boilers, Water Treatment, ETP).
• Leadership: A "take-charge" attitude with the ability to lead by example on the shop floor.
• Education: Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
