Instrumentation Engineer

E&I Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) – Power Plant

We are seeking a skilled E&I Engineer for our Thermal/Biomass Power Plant operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and smooth functioning of all electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, MCCs, transformers, switchgears, PLC, DCS, and field instruments.
• Ensure proper functioning and calibration of transmitters, sensors, analyzers, control valves, and protection systems.
• Attend plant breakdowns and minimize downtime through quick fault analysis and corrective actions.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities for E&I equipment.
• Monitor power consumption, control systems, and operational parameters for optimum plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and plant SOPs.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams during shutdowns and maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience in Thermal, Biomass, or Process Industry power plants preferred.
• Knowledge of DCS, PLC, HT/LT systems, and industrial instrumentation.
• Preferred SkillsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and statutory compliance.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns.
