Job Description
ABOUT TECHWYSH
Techwysh Services & Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is an upstream oil & gas services company headquartered in Gurugram, with active field operations across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, Mumbai Offshore, Kakinada and an international office in Dubai. Founded in 2013, we deliver Slickline, Well Testing, Wellhead Maintenance and Workover services to leading operators and service majors including SLB, Halliburton and Expro.
Our Graduate Engineer Trainee programme is designed to build the next generation of oilfield service engineers — trained hands-on at our yards and deployed to client sites alongside experienced crews.
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will be based at one of our yards or client locations and will work as part of a field crew on live oilfield operations. You will be trained from the ground up in equipment handling, operating procedures, safety practices and client interaction, and will gradually progress from Trainee to Field Engineer as you gain competence and certifications.
This is a hands-on, site-based role. If you are looking for a 9-to-6 desk job in a city, this is not for you. If you are looking for a real oilfield career with travel, structured learning and fast growth, read on.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Field Operations: Assist senior engineers and crews in executing Well Testing, Slickline, Drilling support, Workover, Wellhead Maintenance and allied operations at onshore / offshore client sites.
• Yard Activities: Participate in pre-job preparation — equipment inspection, function testing, load-out, calibration of pressure gauges and tools, inventory checks, and post-job maintenance.
• Rig-up / Rig-down: Support crews in mobilising and demobilising equipment at well sites, rigging up surface equipment, laying of flow lines, pressure testing and rigging down after job completion.
• Job Execution Support: Observe and assist in running slickline tools, well intervention operations, flow-back and surface well-testing equipment operation under the supervision of Field Engineers/Supervisors.
• HSE Compliance: Strictly follow all HSE policies, Permit-to-Work systems, PPE requirements, Toolbox Talks, JSA, LOTO and client safety standards at all times.
• Documentation: Maintain job logs, equipment records, pre/post-job checklists, daily activity reports and handover notes as per company and client requirements.
• Learning & Certifications: Complete structured on-the-job training modules, in-house technical trainings and certifications (H2S, BOSIET/T-BOSIET where applicable, First Aid, Fire Fighting, Defensive Driving, etc.) within defined timelines.
• Client Interface: Conduct yourself professionally at client locations, follow site instructions, and represent Techwysh with discipline and reliability.
• Travel & Deployment: Be ready to be deployed at short notice to any of the company's operating locations in India or overseas as per project requirements.
ELIGIBILITY & MUST-HAVE
• Graduate in any stream; Engineering Degree (B.Tech / B.E.) or Diploma in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering strongly preferred.
• Age 20–28 years; physically fit and medically cleared for fieldwork (including offshore medical / PME where applicable).
• Willingness to work at remote field locations, in onshore desert, marshy terrain or offshore conditions.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, 12-hour duty cycles and live well operations.
• Basic computer literacy — MS Office (Word, Excel), email and reporting.
• Working knowledge of English and Hindi; ability to read and understand technical drawings, checklists and procedures.
• Strong safety mindset, discipline, willingness to learn and ability to work in a team.
• Valid documents — Aadhaar, PAN, education certificates and (preferably) a valid passport.
GOOD-TO-HAVE
• Prior internship, training or project work in the oil & gas, EPC, refinery or petrochemical industry.
• Basic knowledge of well operations — drilling, completions, well intervention or production.
• HSE trainings — Work at Height, H2S, BOSIET, First Aid, Fire Safety.
• Valid driving licence (LMV/HMV).
• Willingness to take up international assignments in the Middle East / West Africa in future.
WHAT WE OFFER
• Structured Training: Classroom + yard + on-the-job training from experienced supervisors and field engineers.
• Food & Accommodation: Free meals and accommodation provided at all field locations / camps / project sites.
• Transportation: Site-to-site and local transportation provided by the company.
• Travel: To-and-fro train tickets provided between home town and base/site for every ON–OFF rotation.
• Rotation: 90 days at site followed by 30 days off, giving you predictable time at home.
• PPE & Tools: All safety gear, coveralls, safety shoes and required PPE issued by the company.
• Career Growth: Clear progression path — Trainee → Field Engineer → Senior Field Engineer → Supervisor — based on performance and certifications.
• Exposure: Opportunity to work with marquee clients including SLB, Halliburton, Expro, ONGC, OIL, Cairn and others.
ROTATION – HOW IT WORKS
The 90/30 rotation means you will be continuously at site (onshore / offshore / yard) for 90 days, followed by 30 days of paid leave at home. Train tickets for both legs of travel are arranged by the company. Specific rotation schedules may vary depending on client contract and operational requirements.
