Job Description

A Fabrication Engineer for project works is responsible for managing fabrication processes from design to final assembly. This includes interpreting engineering drawings, preparing material take-offs, coordinating with workshop teams, and ensuring all fabrication activities meet quality, safety, and project schedule requirements. The role also involves inspection, welding supervision, dimensional control, and coordination with site engineers for installation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications
  • Prepare fabrication plans and material lists (BOM/MTO)
  • Supervise cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly operations
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures
  • Coordinate with project, QA/QC, and site teams
  • Monitor project progress and resolve fabrication issues
  • Conduct inspections and support testing activities
  • Maintain fabrication records and reports
