Job Description

  • Jewellery Showroom Accountant – Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Sales & BillingMaintain daily sales and billing records.
  • Verify cash, card, UPI, bank transfer and other payment collections.
  • Check invoices for correct gold/silver rates, weight, making charges, discounts, GST and final amount.
  • Cash & Bank ManagementDaily cash closing and reconciliation.
  • Match POS/software records with physical cash and payment receipts.
  • Maintain bank deposits and bank reconciliation.
  • Track outstanding payments and customer balances.
  • Gold & Silver AccountingMaintain records of gold and silver purchases and sales.
  • Verify jewellery weight, purity, wastage and making charges.
  • Coordinate with the Stock/Store Manager for stock reconciliation.
  • Check purchase and sales invoices against physical stock records.
  • Customer Scheme AccountsMaintain records of monthly gold/silver schemes.
  • Record customer deposits and payments accurately.
  • Verify scheme maturity, bonus and redemption transactions.
  • Reconcile online and offline scheme collections.
  • Purchase & Supplier AccountsEnter and verify supplier purchase invoices.
  • Maintain supplier ledgers and outstanding balances.
  • Verify payments to gold/silver suppliers and other vendors.
  • GST & TaxationMaintain GST-related records.
  • Verify GST on jewellery invoices.
  • Prepare information required for GST returns, TDS and other statutory compliance.
  • Expenses & PayrollRecord showroom expenses and petty cash.
  • Maintain expense vouchers and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with HR for salary, incentives and deductions.
  • Daily/Monthly ReportsPrepare daily sales and collection reports.
  • Prepare monthly Gold, Silver, Diamond and Scheme sales reports.
  • Track branch-wise sales, expenses and profitability.
  • Submit regular reports to management.
  • Audit & DocumentationMaintain invoices, vouchers, receipts, bank statements and supporting documents.
  • Assist internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure proper filing of all financial records.
  1. Branch Coordination
  • Coordinate with Store Manager, Sales Team, HR and Management.
  • Identify billing/accounting discrepancies and report them immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer financial information.
