Job Description
- 1. Site Execution & SupervisionSupervise installation of solar PV modules, mounting structures, inverters, transformers, and electrical systems.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, BOQ, and project specifications.
- Monitor daily site activities and manpower deployment.
- Coordinate with contractors, electricians, civil teams, and technicians.
- Ensure project milestones are achieved within timelines.
- 2. Quality ControlInspect material received at site.
- Ensure installation quality as per industry standards and company SOPs.
- Conduct regular quality checks during module mounting, cable laying, earthing, and inverter installation.
- Identify and rectify installation defects.
- 3. Safety ManagementEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain site safety records and incident reports.
- 4. Material ManagementVerify quantity and quality of materials received.
- Maintain inventory records of site materials.
- Monitor material consumption and prevent wastage.
- Coordinate with procurement team for material requirements.
- 5. Client & Vendor CoordinationAct as the primary point of contact at site.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, DISCOM authorities, and vendors.
- Attend site meetings and provide project updates.
- Resolve site-related issues promptly.
- 6. Documentation & ReportingPrepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Maintain installation checklists and quality records.
- Record manpower attendance and productivity.
- Submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure all project documentation is updated.
- 7. Testing & Commissioning SupportAssist in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate testing of modules, inverters, earthing, and protection systems.
- Support net metering and grid synchronization processes.
- Ensure successful project handover to client.
