Job Description

The Sales Manager – I.T. Hardware is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve business targets for I.T. hardware products including Touch pos billing machine, thermal printer, cash drawer, software and peripherals. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand customer base.
  • Forecast sales and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Team Management

  • Lead and supervise a team of sales executives or representatives.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate the team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Client Management

  • Manage and grow relationships with key clients and channel partners.
  • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate I.T. hardware solutions.
  • Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the corporate, SME, and government sectors.
  • Participate in tenders and bid processes when applicable.
  • Market & Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in I.T. hardware and competitor offerings.
  • Provide product feedback to the technical and product teams.
  • Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare sales reports, projections, and market analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions using CRM tools.
  • Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 2–7 years of experience in I.T. hardware sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills Required:Strong knowledge of I.T. hardware products (Touch billing machine, Thermal Printer, etc)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Team leadership and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Preferred Certifications:Vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo)
  • Sales certifications (e.g., SPIN Selling, Challenger Sales)
  • Compensation:Base salary + Performance-based incentives
