Responsibilities

• Material Handling & Transfer: Lifting and moving heavy steel items including I-beams, channels, heavy plates, steel coils, billets, and structural pipes.
• Loading & Unloading: Transferring raw steel materials from incoming flatbed trailers to storage yards, and loading finished orders onto delivery trucks.
• Precision Stacking: Organizing and stacking heavy metal sections into designated racks or yard zones according to size, grade, and safety thresholds.
• Rigging Collaboration: Working closely with yard riggers or helpers to ensure proper hook-up, using appropriate nylon slings, wire ropes, or magnetic lifting attachments.
• Daily Maintenance Checks: Inspecting the crane’s hydraulic fluid levels, wire ropes, hooks, brakes, and outriggers before starting a shift to ensure operational safety.
