Quality Control Engineer - Civil

M/s D S Munot is seeking a Quality Control Engineer for its civil construction project at UltraTech Cement Ltd's Maihar Cement Works (Sarlanagar, MP) — construction of a vehicular underpass, retaining wall, approach roads and allied drainage works.

Role overview

The QC Engineer will own and be responsible for on-site quality assurance across all civil, structural and pavement works — from raw material approval through to final handover — ensuring compliance with IS/IRC/MoRTH codes and UltraTech's quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run the site testing laboratory (concrete cubes, aggregates, soil, bitumen) per BIS standards
• Approve raw materials and mix designs; coordinate NABL-lab mix design and joint verification with the client
• Conduct/witness field density, gradation, slump, and dimensional checks across excavation, concrete, reinforcement, formwork and pavement works
• Maintain pour-card, inspection & test plan (ITP) documentation
• Monitor curing compliance and de-shuttering schedules
• Coordinate quality inspections and joint sign-offs with UTCL's site engineering team
• Maintain calibration records for batching plant, testing equipment and instruments

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech (Civil) or Diploma with relevant experience in QC for RCC/road/structural works
• Working knowledge of IS 456, IS 10262, MoRTH specifications, IRC codes
• Prior experience on industrial/infrastructure civil projects preferred
• Willingness to be based full-time at site (Sarlanagar, Maihar, MP)
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
