Product Development Executive

Job Location: Dewasnaka, Indore

Reporting To: Product Development Manager

Experience Required: 2–3 years of relevant experience in product development or similar role.

Gender Preference: Male candidates

Preferred Location: Indore-based candidates only

Job Objective

To support the successful development, improvement, and launch of innovative products by coordinating cross-functional activities, conducting market research, managing product data, and ensuring timely execution of product development projects while maintaining quality, cost, and customer satisfaction standards

Key Responsibilities

·        Assist in the planning, development, and execution of New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to commercialization.

·        Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Accounts, and Sales to ensure timely and successful product launches.

·        Manage product development timelines, ensuring all milestones, approvals, and deliverables are achieved as scheduled.

·        Support the development, testing, sampling, and trial runs of new products and packaging solutions.

·        Monitor and improve existing products by identifying opportunities for quality enhancement, cost optimization, and process improvements.

·        Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and trend monitoring to identify new product opportunities and support innovation initiatives.

·        Prepare, maintain, and update product specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), costing sheets, and technical documentation.

·        Ensure accurate tracking and management of product data, development records, and project reports using MS Excel and Google Sheets.

·        Collaborate with procurement and vendors to source raw materials, packaging materials, and product components as per project requirements.

·        Work closely with the Quality team to ensure product compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

·        Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and market response to recommend improvements and future enhancements.

·        Maintain effective communication among stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and action plans.

·        Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Competencies

·        Strong understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes and the complete product development lifecycle.

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·        Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, reporting, tracking, and documentation.

·        Ability to analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify product improvement opportunities.

·        Effective coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

·        Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects within timelines.

·        Knowledge of packaging development, product testing, and quality standards is an added advantage.

·        Proactive, organized, and results-oriented approach to work.

Qualifications

• UG / PG with specialization in Marketing preferred.
• Candidates from other streams are also acceptable only if they have relevant experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Experience in a manufacturing unit will be an added advantage.
