Logistics Coordinator

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for coordinating complex logistics tasks and an ability to manage relationships with vendors and clients. This role involves coordinating pickup and delivery schedules, resolving disputes, and ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordination of Pickup and Delivery:

• Organize and schedule pickups and deliveries with transportation providers.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure products are ready for dispatch.

1. Vendor Management:

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and transportation providers.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and service providers.
• Handle and resolve vendor disputes and challenges in a timely and effective manner.

1. Dispute Resolution:

• Serve as the primary contact for resolving any logistical issues that arise, including delivery discrepancies and damaged goods claims.
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve disputes efficiently and favorably.
• Maintain accurate records of disputes and resolutions.

1. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain detailed logistics reports and documentation.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

1. Communication and Collaboration:

• Coordinate effectively with internal departments such as customer service, sales, and warehousing.
• Provide regular updates on shipment status and logistics activities to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in logistics planning and strategy meetings.
