Laptop Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Laptop Technical Support Executive to provide technical support, diagnose hardware and software issues, and perform laptop repairs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting laptops, resolving network-related issues, repairing motherboards and internal hardware components, and delivering excellent technical support to customers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues on laptops and desktops.
• Provide technical support for Windows installation, driver installation, software configuration, and system optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, printer sharing, and network configuration.
• Install, configure, and maintain antivirus software and system security solutions.
• Laptop & Hardware RepairDiagnose and repair laptop motherboards and identify component-level faults.
• Replace and repair internal hardware components, including RAM, SSD/HDD, keyboards, touchpads, displays, batteries, cooling fans, speakers, hinges, charging ports, DC jacks, webcams, and Wi-Fi modules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve no power, no display, overheating, blue screen, boot failure, charging, and performance-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and hardware upgrades to improve system performance.
• Customer SupportInteract with customers to understand technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Explain repair processes, estimated timelines, and technical recommendations to customers.
• Ensure timely resolution of service requests while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate service records, repair logs, and customer service reports.
• Track pending repairs and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts procurement when required.
• General ResponsibilitiesEnsure proper handling and maintenance of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
• Stay updated with the latest laptop technologies, hardware components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Perform any other technical or operational responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 1–2 years of experience in laptop repair, technical support, or hardware troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing laptops, motherboards, and internal hardware components.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, BIOS, drivers, and software installation.
• Experience in resolving network-related issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, printer configuration, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with laptop brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, MSI, Apple (MacBook), and other major brands.
• Basic knowledge of data backup, recovery, and system security.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Preferred Candidate ProfileDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Hardware, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• Certification in Hardware & Networking (preferred).
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to technical problem-solving.
