Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Handle high-value cash transactions accurately and securely.
- Generate customer bills and process payments through cash, card, UPI, bank transfer, and other approved payment modes.
- Verify customer invoices, discounts, and payment details before billing.
- Perform daily opening and closing of the cash counter as per company procedures.
- Reconcile cash, POS, and digital payment transactions at the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate records of all cash receipts, refunds, exchanges, and billing transactions.
- Ensure proper custody and security of cash, cheques, and other valuable documents.
- Coordinate with the Accounts and Sales teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service during billing.
- Follow company policies, audit requirements, and internal financial controls.
- Report any cash shortages, excess cash, or suspicious transactions immediately to the management.
- Requirements:Graduate in Commerce or any relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in Jewellery, Retail, or Luxury Retail.
- Experience in handling high-value cash transactions and billing software.
- Strong numerical, accounting, and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, honesty, and integrity.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy during peak business hours.
