About Next Steps

Next Steps is a fast-growing USMLE coaching institute helping aspiring doctors prepare for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3. We work with USMLE-qualified physicians as online tutors and serve medical students, MBBS graduates, and IMGs across India and abroad. We're scaling our Hyderabad team and hiring telecallers to be the first voice of our brand to incoming student leads.

About the Role

As a Telecaller at Next Steps, you'll be the first point of contact for medical students and doctors who reach out to us through our website, social media ads, and lead campaigns. Your job is to connect with them within minutes of their enquiry, understand their USMLE journey, explain our coaching programs, and book them for a free counseling session with our senior team.

This is a high-energy, high-impact role. Every call you make can shape someone's medical career path.

Key Responsibilities

  • Call inbound leads from Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and website forms — ideally within 15 minutes of lead arrival
  • Engage warmly with medical students, MBBS graduates, and IMGs to understand their USMLE goals, timeline, and current preparation stage
  • Clearly explain Next Steps' USMLE coaching programs, tutor panel, pricing, and value
  • Book qualified leads for free counseling or demo sessions with senior counselors
  • Follow up with warm and cold leads via calls, WhatsApp, and email until they convert or drop out
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date lead status, conversation notes, and follow-up dates in our CRM
  • Meet daily call targets (80–120 calls/day) and weekly enrollment/booking targets
  • Coordinate closely with the counseling and admissions teams for smooth lead handoff

Requirements

  • 0–1 year of experience in telecalling, inside sales, tele-sales, BPO, or customer support (freshers are welcome and will be trained)
  • Excellent verbal communication in English (mandatory)
  • Working knowledge of Hindi and Telugu is a strong plus
  • Confident, energetic phone presence — comfortable making 80–120 calls per day
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, Gmail, WhatsApp Web, and CRM tools)
  • Any graduate: B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BA, BCA, or equivalent (final-year students with strong communication may apply)
  • Available to work full-time from our Hyderabad office (this is not a remote role)

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in EdTech, test prep, healthcare, or higher-education sales
  • Familiarity with USMLE, ECFMG, or the medical education space
  • Experience with CRMs like Zoho, LeadSquared, HubSpot, or Salesforce

Working Hours & Location

  • Days: Weekly 6 working days and any weekday will be off (Saturday and Sunday are working days)
  • Timing: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Weekly off: Any of the weekdays
  • Location: Next Steps Office, Hyderabad
  • Mode: Work from Office (no remote/hybrid option for this role)
