Purpose : The Structural Engineer Level I is responsible for performing structural analysis and design of offshore structures across concept, FEED, and detailed engineering phases. The role requires a motivated and technically strong Offshore Structural Engineer with 4+ years of experience in the analysis and design of offshore structures. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions for offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, and brownfield modifications in compliance with international standards such as API RP 2A, AISC, ISO, etc.
The Role
As a Structural Engineer Level I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Perform structural analysis and design of Fixed Jacket Structures, Lifted Topsides, and Float‑Over Topsides, covering in‑service, pre‑service, and accidental load cases.
- Should be able to Develop structural models from scratch, and prepare engineering calculations, reports.
- Should be able to review the drawings from engineering prespective.
- Deliver structural engineering work packages within defined scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate design input with internal disciplines and drafting teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Assist in developing design philosophies, analysis methodologies.
- Participate in technical discussions, interdisciplinary reviews, and model review sessions.
- Support preparation of RFQs and review vendor documents for steel plates, hot‑rolled sections, tubulars, LMUs, grout seals, anodes, and related items.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and promote best practices within the engineering team.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in offshore structural engineering.
- Experience in analysis and design of Fixed Template Structures, FPSO modules, and offshore renewable structures (wind, hydrogen, CCS).
- Good exposure to FEED/EPC project environments.
- Familiarity with steel material grades, testing requirements, and fabrication specifications.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Fatigue analysis, non-linear analysis and FEA analysis.
- Good understanding of weight control principles for offshore structures.
- Familiarity with international design codes including ISO 19901, ISO 19902, AISC, API (WSD & LRFD), DNV.
- Hands‑on experience with tools such as SACS, SESAM, USFOS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, STAAD.
- Experience with Python/VBA automation.

- Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently under supervision of senior engineers with sound engineering judgment.
