Senior Automation Test Engineer - Salesforce

The role will cater in the capacity of Automation Tester, who is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end‑to‑end automated test solutions using Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) for Salesforce applications. 
This role actively ensures release quality, and mentors junior testers while collaborating closely with Developers, DevOps, and Product teams. 

Test Automation & Design  

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) for Salesforce applications 

• Create end‑to‑end UI, regression, smoke, and integration tests covering complex business flows 

• Convert manual test cases and business steps into robust automated test scripts 

• Ensure test scripts are reusable, maintainable, and scalable 

CI/CD & DevOps Integration 

• Integrate CRT test execution into Copado or GIT CI/CD pipelines 

• Implement and support automated quality gates before deployments 

• Analyse test execution results and failures within pipeline runs 

• Support parallel execution and optimise test execution time 

Test Execution & Quality Assurance 

• Execute automated test suites across different Salesforce environments 

• Perform root cause analysis for automation and functional failures 

• Log, track, and verify defects in collaboration with development teams 

• Ensure high test coverage with minimal maintenance effort 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement 

• Work closely with Developers, Admins, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams 

• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and release readiness activities 

• Provide clear test status, risk assessment, and quality metrics 

• Guide junior testers on CRT best practices and automation standards 

Technical Skills 

• Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) – strong hands‑on experience 

• Salesforce application testing (Lightning, flows, objects, integrations) 

• Understanding of Copado Or GIT DevOps / CI/CD pipelines 

• Automation testing concepts: regression, smoke, end‑to‑end, data‑driven testing 

• Test design techniques and defect lifecycle 

Functional & Domain Skills 

• Ability to understand complex business processes and workflows 

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills 

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments 

• Excellent communication and documentation skills 

Nice‑to‑Have Skills 

• CRT AI features (self‑healing, smart execution, TestAgent exposure) 

• Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado Plan, Git, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.) 

• API testing and integration validation 

• Previous experience mentoring or leading small automation efforts 

Certifications (Preferred) 

• Copado Robotic Testing Certification 

• Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder (plus) 

Education Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s /master’s degree and 5-9 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience, including 4+ years in automation  

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Copado Robotic Testing (CRT)
