About the team:

Responsible for defining and executing global component strategies, ensuring robust selection, qualification, and lifecycle management of semiconductor and electronic components. This role partners with suppliers and internal engineering teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and future-ready component solutions that support product performance and business objectives.

What you can look forward as Specialist:

• Develop and drive global component strategies across key part families, including selection, evaluation, and approval of active and passive components
• Influence supplier device roadmaps and specifications to align with future product requirements and unique selling propositions
• Define and support component qualification, validation, and testing strategies to ensure performance and reliability
• Manage component lifecycle risks, including obsolescence, second sourcing, and long-term supply continuity
• Lead supplier development activities, ensuring timely execution, risk mitigation, and resolution of nonconformances
• Ensure supplier deliverables meet customer requirements and internal standards, including quality and best practices
• Validate compliance with component-level functional safety requirements (ISO 26262)
• Provide technical guidance to design teams, including component selection, alternatives, and best-practice usage
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and improve component performance
• Ensure adherence to all applicable quality, regulatory, and safety standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS)
• Utilize Siemens EDM (or equivalent) tools for component data management, approval workflows, and lifecycle tracking

Your profile as Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or electronic component development, preferably in the automotive sector
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor technologies, including IC design, wafer fabrication, assembly, and testing processes
• Proven experience in component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with semiconductor industry standards and methodologies (e.g., AEC-Q100, zero-defect strategies, 8D problem-solving, failure analysis, advanced testing)
• Understanding of electronic component supply chains and key suppliers
• Experience with component data management tools such as Siemens EDM (or similar systems)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as REACH and RoHS
• Working knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and its application in product development
