Senior SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) Architect

SAP RAR Architect and SME

• The Candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in SAP FICO and 5 years in implementation of S4H RAR module.
• The candidate should have minimum 2 implementation experience in S4H RAR Module.
• Good understanding of key aspects of IFRS 15 & ASC 606 regulations
• Sound knowledge of using new SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) Tool for Revenue Recognition & Accounting
• Very strong in integration (all sales scenarios) aspects of SD with Fi-GL & CO-PA
• Enable SAP Sales & Distribution component as source system - to transfer line items from relevant Sales Order Types to RAR as RAI’s (Revenue Accounting Items)
• Define custom RAI Class, Activated and Generated the associated structures; enabled additional custom fields & Defined update rules for RA Classes
• Familiar with include structure that can be enhanced to define custom fields for RAI’s and the corresponding BADI’s to enhance the RAI’s with needed additional custom data (examples: INCO Terms, Route Time etc.)
• Good understanding of RAI’s statuses (raw, processable & processed) and its’ implications
• Good working knowledge of BRF+ applications relevant for RAR; Used BRF+ Applications to enhance POB’s and in Account Determination
• Configure system to create Revenue Accounting Contracts with POB’s
• Able to create Performance Obligation (POB’s) per each of the relevant Accounting Principle on processing of the RAI’s
• Configured system to work with different fulfilment types (Event based & Time based) for products & Services respectively
• Solid understanding of usage of “standalone selling price” in “revenue allocation” and posting; maintained SSP’s as needed in BRF+ application decision table
• Familiar with Contract “combination”, “Modification” (Retroactive, Prospective) and change in “Estimates”
• Excellent working knowledge with RAI Monitor, Contract search transactions, & working with exceptions
• Configure system for posting to right GL Accounts via Account Determination configuration
• Configure system to compute Time based revenue, Contract Assets & Liabilities, Costs & Revenue Postings
• Knowledge in all the ABAP Objects (Tables/BADI’s) needed for enhancing RAI’s, POB’s and Contracts
• Good working knowledge of BRF+ objects (such as: Applications, Functions, Rule SETS, Rules, Expressions, Decision trees/tables, and Actions); can guide the tech team member for any BRF+ custom application developed
