Job Description

Sales & Business Development Manager — Lights Library

Expected monthly sales of 30-50 Lakhs. This is a much more strategic role.

The person must be able to:

  • personally close deals,
  • drive showroom walk-ins and inquiries,
  • manage inside sales staff,
  • build architect/designer relationships,
  • create sales systems,
  • and push revenue accountability.

This role sits between:

  • founder,
  • sales team,
  • architects,
  • and operations.

 

Core Objective

Drive consistent sales growth for Lights Library through:

  • architect/designer outreach,
  • inside sales management,
  • client conversion,
  • project tracking,
  • and team accountability.

 

Full Scope of Responsibilities

A. Architect & Designer Business Development

Tasks

  • Identify and approach architects/interior designers
  • Schedule meetings and presentations
  • Visit firms regularly
  • Build long-term relationships
  • Present Lights Library capabilities
  • Stay connected with top design firms
  • Bring new architects into the ecosystem
  • Track upcoming projects
  • Invite architects to showroom/events
  • Ensure repeat engagement

KPIs

  • Number of active architect accounts
  • New firms onboarded
  • Revenue from architect channel
  • Repeat project business

 

B. Direct Sales & Client Conversion

Tasks

  • Attend premium client meetings
  • Understand project requirements
  • Recommend lighting solutions
  • Handle negotiations
  • Close high-value deals
  • Handle escalation cases
  • Support major quotations and presentations

KPIs

  • Conversion rate
  • Monthly revenue
  • Average order value
  • Closing ratio

 

C. Manage Inside Sales Team

Tasks

  • Supervise showroom and inside sales staff
  • Allocate leads properly
  • Ensure fast response times
  • Review quotations before sending
  • Monitor follow-ups
  • Train team on communication and product knowledge

  • Conduct sales reviews

D. Pipeline & CRM Management
