Research Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Research Analyst to support our research, data management, email marketing, and social media activities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with academic journals and online research sources, organizing information in Excel/Google Sheets, communicating through email, and supporting digital outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and collect relevant data from academic journals, research papers, publications, websites, and other reliable sources.
• Extract, organize, and maintain research information accurately in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Regularly update databases and ensure data is accurate, complete, and well-organized.
• Support email marketing campaigns, including preparing contact lists, sending emails, and tracking responses.
• Follow up with contacts through email and maintain professional communication.
• Assist with outreach activities and maintain records of communications and follow-ups.
• Create and publish conference/event flyers and promotional content on LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms.
• Maintain a consistent social media posting schedule and support online promotional activities.
• Track basic engagement and outreach results and maintain relevant records.
• Perform other research, administrative, and marketing support activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Research, Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong research and information-gathering skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable handling email communication and follow-ups.
• Basic understanding of LinkedIn and social media platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with academic journals or research databases.
• Familiarity with email marketing tools and contact databases.
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing and social media management.
• Experience with Canva or similar tools for handling promotional materials.
• Ability to analyze and summarize research information clearly.

Note

Previous conference or event-management experience is not required. What matters most is the candidate's attitude, communication skills, ability to learn, organisational ability, and willingness to take ownership.

The candidate will receive training and progressively take responsibility for managing conference activities independently.
