Manager-GDC

Roles & responsibilities 
Own the engineering, availability, resiliency, performance, monitoring, and capacity planning for Audit portfolio applications.
Ensure 99.0% or higher availability for critical Audit systems through proactive monitoring, alerting, and remediation.
Apply DevOps methodologies to streamline infrastructure provisioning, operations, monitoring, and change management.
Proactively monitor production environments to prevent failures, performance degradation, and capacity constraints.
Lead incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis, including participation in a 24x7x365 follow‑the‑sun on‑call rotation.
Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Platform Engineering, Security, and Business teams to build and operate scalable, reliable, and secure environments.
Support compliance requirements, including backup, disaster recovery readiness, ITDR testing, and audit evidence collection.
Coordinate disaster recovery planning, execution, and post‑incident reviews for Audit applications.
Manage environment upgrades, deployments, change, incidents, vulnerability remediation, and end‑of‑life transitions.
Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance, resiliency, and compliance objectives.
Create, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Lead and develop a globally distributed infrastructure team, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and delivery quality.

Advanced experience with Azure monitoring and observability tooling, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights /Log Analytics / KQL, Azure Managed Prometheus.
SQL knowledge, including replication, backup/restore.
Experience operating containerized workloads and cloud‑native architectures.
Familiarity with FinOps practices and cost‑optimization strategies in Azure.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
10+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years operating cloud‑first Microsoft Azure infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong hands‑on automation experience using PowerShell, Exposure to infrastructure‑as‑code and advanced automation patterns.
Solid experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL / Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure App Service or Azure Container Apps, Azure Application Gateway.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, identity, and security fundamentals.
Experience implementing monitoring and observability, including availability, performance, diagnostics, and logging.
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation concepts.
Experience supporting backup, disaster recovery, and compliance programs in regulated environments.
Ability to manage production incidents and escalations, driving issues through to resolution.
