Job Description
Job Description: The Management Trainee – Prescription Leakage Reduction will be responsible for analyzing and minimizing prescription leakage, improving coordination between doctors and the pharmacy, and optimizing drug availability. This role requires collaboration with doctors, operations, and the purchase team to ensure better prescription retention, efficient stock management, and enhanced pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prescription Leakage Analysis & Monitoring
- Conduct studies on OPD and pharmacy walk-ins to analyze prescription leakage trends.
- Identify reasons for prescription leakage and implement corrective strategies.
- Monitor and reduce drug bouncing cases by collaborating with stakeholders.
2. Stakeholder Coordination & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain professional relationships with doctors, clinical pharmacologists, and internal teams.
- Act as a bridge between doctors, pharmacy, and clinical teams to enhance prescription fulfillment.
- Understand and address doctors’ requirements related to pharmacy services.
3. Inventory & Stock Optimization
- Promote liquidation of non-moving stocks by engaging with doctors.
- Provide periodic updates to doctors on drug availability, non-availability, and short supply.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to update the drug formulary as per doctors’ prescribing patterns.
4. Business Development & Feedback Management
- Gather feedback from doctors regarding pharmacy services and share insights with managers for improvement.
- Support operations in achieving business targets through improved prescription retention.
- Promote Private Label (PL) and generic medicines to doctors to drive cost-effective prescriptions.
5. Quality Improvement & Compliance
- Assist the operations team in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to pharmacy service standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Work on strategic projects directed by the management to enhance prescription retention and operational efficiency.
- Participate in all departmental training and quality initiatives implemented across locations.
- Maintain ethical practices and professionalism in all transactions.
- Comply with all organizational rules and regulations as per prevailing policies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, drug formulary management, and prescription processing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking to support pharmacy growth.
