Job Title: Kitchen Helper

Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper is responsible for supporting the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, handling ingredients, washing utensils, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations while following hygiene and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation.

Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and storage areas.

Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.

Receive, unload, and store food supplies appropriately.

Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and food items.

Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness at all times.

Refill kitchen supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.

Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Support the kitchen team during food production and service.

Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum 10th Pass (preferred).

0–2 years of experience in a kitchen, hotel, catering, or restaurant (freshers can also apply).

Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.

Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Team player with a positive attitude.
