Design & Sales Executive – Interiors

We are looking for an Interior Designer Consultant who can combine strong interior design expertise, client handling, and sales skills.

This is a design + sales-oriented role where you will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing suitable interior design solutions, presenting designs and quotations, handling negotiations, and converting leads into confirmed interior projects.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable discussing design, layouts, materials, budgets, quotations, and project requirements with clients and should be capable of taking a customer from initial enquiry to project handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation & Sales

1. lead management from initial call to handover stage and conduct client consultations.
2. Understand the client's requirements, lifestyle, preferences, budget, and project timeline.
3. Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
4. Build strong relationships and maintain regular follow-ups with clients.
5. Present design concepts, materials, quotations, and project scope professionally.
6. Handle client queries, objections, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
7. Convert qualified leads into confirmed interior projects.
8. Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets of at least 50 Lakhs with good incentives

Interior Design:

1. Understand client requirements and translate them into functional and aesthetically appropriate designs.
2. Prepare space planning, layouts, 2D drawings, 3D designs, mood boards, and presentations.
3. Develop design concepts for residential and commercial interiors.
4. Recommend suitable materials, finishes, colours, laminates, hardware, and accessories.
5. Ensure designs are practical, feasible, and aligned with the client's budget.
6. Incorporate client feedback and manage design revisions within timelines.
7. Coordinate with the design and execution teams to ensure design feasibility.

Quotation & Commercial Coordination:

1. Understand project requirements and prepare accurate scope details for quotations and BOQs.
2. Ensure all required furniture, materials, accessories, and specifications are properly captured.
3. Present quotations clearly and explain project scope and pricing to clients.
4. Follow up on quotations until project closure.
5. Negotiate with clients while maintaining company pricing and margin guidelines.
6. Avoid unauthorized pricing, discounts, or commitments to clients.

4. Project Handover

Once the project is confirmed:

• Document all client requirements, approved designs, materials, specifications, and commitments.
• Ensure complete and accurate sales documentation.
• Coordinate a smooth handover to the Design, Project Management, Procurement, and Execution teams.
• Clearly communicate the approved scope, design, budget, and client expectations to the execution team.
• Support the client during the transition from sales to project execution whenever required.

Performance Expectations:

This is a sales-oriented interior design position. Performance will be evaluated on both design quality and business results.

• Required Skills & Experience2–4 years of experience in interior design, interior sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Experience handling residential and/or commercial interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, hardware, and design concepts.
• Good understanding of space planning, layouts, and interior design principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar design software.
• Ability to prepare and present professional design concepts.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent client-handling and negotiation skills.
• Strong sales and business development orientation.
• Ability to understand client budgets and work within commercial requirements.
• Strong follow-up and lead-conversion skills.

Ability to independently manage a customer from enquiry → consultation → design → quotation → negotiation → closure.
