Job Description
Roles and responsibilities
Program & Setup: Translate blueprints and CAD/CAM designs into machine commands, setting coordinates, tool paths, and feed rates.
Material Preparation: Load stock (wood, sheet metal, extruded bars) into the machine and secure workpieces safely.
Machine Operation: Supervise the CNC routers, laser cutters, or mills during operation and make micro-adjustments to improve precision.
Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure they meet required tolerances.
Tooling & Maintenance: Swap worn tooling, perform preventative maintenance, and clean the machinery daily.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe workspace, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adhere to factory safety guidelines.
