Biomedical Engineer – Job Description


A Biomedical Engineer applies engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology to develop medical devices, equipment, computer systems, and software used in healthcare. The role focuses on improving patient care through the development of innovative medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities


Design and develop medical devices such as Pico laser systems, diode lasers, and diagnostic equipment

Conduct research to solve clinical problems and enhance healthcare technology

Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to understand medical requirements

Test and evaluate biomedical equipment for safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance

Maintain and repair healthcare equipment to ensure optimal performance

Prepare technical reports, documentation, and manage asset maintenance records

Ensure products comply with regulatory standards set by organizations such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicines Agency
