Assistant Store Keeper

Job PurposeTo assist in the efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and finished goods while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and inventory procedures.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementAssist in receiving incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Ensure proper storage of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
• Issue materials to production departments against approved requisitions.
• Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) wherever applicable.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
• DocumentationMaintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Goods Issue Notes (GIN), stock registers, and inventory records.
• Update ERP, Excel, or inventory software with all stock transactions.
• File supplier invoices, delivery challans, and inventory documents.
• Assist during internal and external audits.
• Stock ControlParticipate in daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and report them to the Storekeeper.
• Maintain accurate physical and system inventory.
