Job Description

Operations & Coordination

• Assist in planning and managing transport schedules and routes
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and logistics teams for timely deliveries
• Monitor daily fleet operations and ensure optimum utilization
• Track shipments and resolve delays or disruptions

Fleet & Vehicle Management

• Maintain records of vehicles, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage
• Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition
• Coordinate repairs, servicing, and inspections

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Maintain documentation such as permits, insurance, licenses, and logs
• Prepare reports on transport activities, costs, and performance metrics

Team Support & Supervision

• Assist in supervising drivers and transport staff
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, and behavior
• Support training initiatives related to safety and operations

Cost & Efficiency Management

• Monitor fuel consumption and operational costs
• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
• Assist in budget tracking and expense reporting

Safety & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to road safety standards and company safety protocols
• Handle emergency transport situations or breakdowns
• Conduct safety checks and awareness programs

Skills

• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Knowledge of transport/logistics operations
• Familiarity with fleet management systems or GPS tracking tools
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
• Basic analytical skills for reporting and cost control

Experience

• 5-7  years of experience in transport/logistics operations (preferred)
