Position Summary

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth for specialized electronic products including RF & Microwave components, Displays, and Power Supplies. The role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to identify customer needs, recommend suitable solutions, manage the sales cycle, and build long-term relationships with OEMs, system integrators, R&D teams, and industrial customers.



Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities in telecom, aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial automation, medical, semiconductor, and R&D sectors.
  • Generate leads through market visits, networking, references, exhibitions, and outbound outreach.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
  • Prepare account plans for strategic customers.

Technical Consultation

  • Understand customer applications and propose suitable products/solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions.
  • Interpret customer technical requirements, drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with application engineers or OEM principals for customized solutions.

  • Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and visit reports.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with engineering, procurement, production, and management teams.
  • Provide post-sales coordination and issue resolution.
  • Support repeat business and cross-selling opportunities.

Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
  • Share feedback with management and principals.



Required Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, or related field.

Experience

  • 1–5 years in technical sales / field sales / inside sales in electronics components, RF, displays, or power products.



Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of RF parameters: frequency, gain, power, VSWR, impedance.
  • Knowledge of display interfaces: HDMI, LVDS, MIPI, SPI, touch integration.
  • Knowledge of power supply parameters: voltage, current, efficiency, protections.
  • Ability to read datasheets and recommend alternatives.
