Solar Design And Proposal Engineer

Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals and quotations for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.

Design solar PV systems based on customer electricity consumption and site conditions.

Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and project pricing.

Perform load analysis and system sizing.

Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and technical documentation.

Coordinate with Sales, Design, Procurement, and Installation teams.

Evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable solar solutions.

Prepare ROI, savings analysis, and payback calculations.

Ensure proposals comply with DISCOM, MNRE, and industry standards.

Maintain proposal documentation and quotation records.

Support tender submissions and commercial bids when required.

Follow up with the sales team for proposal revisions and customer queries.

• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Solar PV systems.
• Experience in preparing commercial and industrial solar quotations.
• BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of net metering and captive/open access concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with PVSyst is preferred.
• Understanding of solar modules, inverters, structures, ACDB/DCDB, cables, and BOS components.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

• QualificationBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
