Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Supervise daily production activities and allocate work to operators/workmen.

Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.

Monitor machine utilization, manpower productivity, and production efficiency.

Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and processes.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and Design departments.

Monitor raw materials, components, tools, and consumables required for production.

Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action.

Ensure minimum rejection, rework, and material wastage.

Maintain proper production records, job cards, and shift reports.

Ensure workers follow safety procedures and company rules.

Monitor housekeeping and 5S practices on the shop floor.

Check the quality of components and assemblies at various stages of production.

Report breakdowns, delays, shortages, and quality issues to the Production Manager.

Train and guide operators and new employees.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.

Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of production workers.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce production costs.
