Job Description

Role Overview

The Operations Associate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day bus operations, including passenger coordination, ticket management, driver allocation, and real-time issue handling. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities

1. Boarding & Passenger Coordination

  • Oversee passenger boarding at designated pickup points
  • Ensure timely departures and adherence to schedules
  • Assist passengers with queries and provide travel support
  • Coordinate with drivers and ground staff for smooth boarding

2. Ticketing & Booking Management

  • Manage ticket bookings via platforms like RedBus and internal systems
  • Verify passenger lists and booking details before departure
  • Handle cancellations, rescheduling, and seat allocations

3. Reminder Calls & Customer Communication

  • Make pre-departure reminder calls/messages to passengers
  • Share boarding details, timing updates, and location information
  • Address customer concerns and escalate issues when required

4. Operations Monitoring

  • Track bus movements in real-time using GPS/tools
  • Monitor delays, breakdowns, or route deviations
  • Ensure timely updates are communicated to passengers and management

5. Driver & Crew Coordination

  • Assign drivers and staff based on schedules and availability
  • Ensure drivers report on time and follow assigned routes
  • Coordinate shift planning, replacements, and standby arrangements

6. Issue Resolution & Escalation

  • Handle operational challenges such as delays, passenger complaints, or vehicle issues
  • Coordinate with maintenance and support teams for quick resolution
  • Escalate critical issues to management promptly

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily logs of trips, delays, and incidents
  • Prepare reports on operations performance and customer feedback
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in operations/logistics
  • Strong communication skills (Tamil/English preferred; Hindi is a plus)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and booking systems
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities



Preferred Experience

  • Experience in travel, transport, or logistics industry
  • Familiarity with bus operations and route planning
  • Prior experience using ticketing platforms like RedBus
