Maintenance Technician

Role Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who can help maintain and repair blow moulding and injection moulding machines. The person should be hands-on, technically strong, and able to support production by reducing machine breakdowns and downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend machine breakdowns and help repair blow moulding and injection moulding machines.
• Check machine problems related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, cooling, and basic PLC systems.
• Support preventive maintenance activities as per schedule.
• Check and maintain utilities such as compressors, chillers, heaters, water lines, and electrical panels.
• Maintain tools, moulds, fixtures, and machine-related equipment in good condition.
• Inform the Maintenance Manager about repeated breakdowns or major machine issues.
• Maintain basic maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.
• Follow safety rules while working on machines and electrical systems.
• Support production teams to restart machines quickly after repair.

Minimum Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Tool & Die, Plastics Technology, or related technical field.
• ITI candidates may be considered if they have strong hands-on machine maintenance experience.

Experience Required

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in machine maintenance.
• Experience with blow moulding or injection moulding machines is strongly preferred.
• Experience in plastics, automotive components, packaging, or manufacturing industries is preferred.

Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to identify machine problems and support repairs.
• Knowledge of heaters, temperature controllers, sensors, motors, pumps, valves, cylinders, compressors, and cooling systems.
• Basic understanding of PLC alarms and machine control panels.
• Willingness to work on the shopfloor and attend breakdowns.
• Ability to work in shifts if required.
• Basic reading/writing skills for maintenance records.
• Tamil/Hindi communication ability preferred.
