Property and Facilities Sourcing Professional

About the role

  • This role is part of services category in procurement function focussing Property, FM and Utilities as category under management
  • This role supports management of physical assets, Capex and Opex from sourcing perspective having scale and spread across geographies
  • To Build and maintain category knowledge, apply best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection and negotiation levers

What you will be doing (Role Accountabilities)

  • Deliver business improvements, savings through planning and execution of sourcing strategy, bid support, supplier management and risk management
  • Manage regional and UK based teams, internal and external stakeholders to deliver against key performance metrics
  • Drive and deliver end-to-end sourcing projects with low to medium level of complexity in contractual negotiations and commercial models.
  • Provide support on bids, sourcing and commercial activities, including compliance on contractual terms and conditions, service definitions and SLAs
  • Conduct market analysis for latest developments and trends in the assigned sub-categories

What you’ll need to succeed (Skills & Experience)

  • 6 -8 years of relevant experience within the Procurement function, with strong strategic and tactical procurement skills, and the ability to deliver value and results for BT
  • Strong educational background and business knowledge in Facilities management, construction, Techno-commercial negotiations, supplier assessment, commercial models, TCO
  • Hands on experience in the utilisation of sourcing tools, contracting, analytical ability to recommend business decisions
  • Effective relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment
  • Ability to manage complex, strategic and commercial requirements between BT and Suppliers, deliver projects and results on time
  • Demonstrates effective and continuous skill development
