Mechanical Draftsman

A Mechanical Draftsman prepares detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical systems used in construction, manufacturing, or industrial projects. The role involves translating engineering concepts into precise drawings that guide fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Create 2D and 3D technical drawings for mechanical components and systems

Reading structural and fabrication drawings

Use CAD software such as AutoCAD ,Revit

Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations

Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and safety regulations

Revise and update drawings based on feedback and site conditions

Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams

Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and detailed schematics

Maintain documentation and version control of drawings

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting
