Job Description
- Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes, including pasta, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, grilled items, soups, salads, sauces, and other menu specialties.
- Ensure consistent taste, quality, presentation, and portion sizes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Handle food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating, and service efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor the freshness, quality, and storage of ingredients and ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Assist in inventory management, stock requisitions, and minimizing food wastage.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw and cooked food items.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow standard recipes, portion control guidelines, and food cost control procedures.
- Support menu development, new dish trials, and daily specials as required.
- Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of orders during busy service periods.
- Report equipment malfunctions, stock shortages, and food quality issues to the supervisor.
