Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesFood PreparationAssist in the preparation of ingredients, sauces, marinades, dressings, and menu components.
  • Prepare dishes according to standard recipes and portion specifications.
  • Follow plating and presentation standards established by Bean Brew Beyond.
  • Ensure ingredients are prepared and available before service begins.
  • Support senior chefs during busy service periods.
  • Mise en PlaceComplete daily mise en place as per kitchen requirements.
  • Wash, cut, portion, and store vegetables, fruits, proteins, and other ingredients.
  • Prepare ingredients in accordance with production plans and forecasts.
  • Ensure all prepared items are properly labeled and stored.
  • Kitchen OperationsAssist in smooth execution of kitchen operations during service.
  • Follow instructions from CDP and Head Chef accurately.
  • Ensure timely preparation of orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
  • Support all sections of the kitchen when required.
  • Inventory & StorageAssist in receiving and checking deliveries.
  • Verify quality and quantity of incoming ingredients.
  • Store products correctly following FIFO and FEFO principles.
  • Report low-stock items to the CDP or Head Chef.
  • Assist in daily and monthly stock counts.
  • Hygiene & Food SafetyFollow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain clean workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure proper handwashing and personal hygiene practices.
  • Follow food storage and temperature control procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining HACCP and FSSAI compliance standards.
  • Equipment CareOperate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Clean equipment after use and report any faults immediately.
  • Ensure utensils and tools are stored properly.
  • TeamworkWork collaboratively with kitchen and service staff.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Support colleagues during peak operational hours.
  • Participate in training and skill development programs.
  • Opening DutiesReport to duty in proper uniform and grooming standards.
  • Set up workstation and prepare assigned mise en place.
  • Check stock availability and freshness of ingredients.
  • Ensure workstation is clean and organized before service.
  • Prepare ingredients as instructed by senior chefs.
  • Closing DutiesClean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment.
  • Store ingredients properly with correct labeling and dates.
  • Dispose of waste according to hygiene standards.
  • Complete cleaning checklists before leaving.
  • Ensure assigned section is ready for the next shift.

  • 0–3 years of kitchen experience in a café, restaurant, bakery, cloud kitchen, or hotel.
  • Freshers with culinary training may also apply.
  • Required SkillsBasic food preparation and cooking knowledge.
  • Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
