CAD Fashion Designer

Star Global is a leading manufacturer and exporter of bags and accessories, working with international value retailers. We specialize in commercially viable, trend-driven products at competitive price points.

Role OverviewWe are looking for a designer who can translate global trends into commercially viable bag designs and buyer presentations.

This role is not limited to design; it involves trend research, product development thinking, and creating impactful presentations for buyers.

• Key Responsibilities
• 1. Trend Research & Direction
• Research global trends, colors, materials, and concepts
• Build seasonal trend boards (Back-to-School, Holiday, etc.)
• Use platforms like WGSN, market research, and retail insights
• 2. Product Design (Bags & Accessories)
• Develop commercially viable designs (backpacks, handbags, travel, kids bags)
• Work within defined price targets 
• Ensure designs are production-friendly (materials, trims, construction)
• 3. CAD & Technical Development
• Create detailed CADs using Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw and AI apps
• Develop accurate specs, proportions, and print placements
• Support tech pack creation (basic to intermediate level)
• 4. Buyer Presentation Development
• Create high-quality PPT presentations for international buyers
• Structure presentations from:
• Trend → Color → Material → Product → Range
• Ensure designs are clearly positioned for retail relevance
• 5. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work with merchandising and sampling teams
• Align designs with costing, feasibility, and timelines
