Barista

• Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages including Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Café Latte, Mocha, Flat White, Macchiato, and other hot/cold coffee beverages.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, grinding, dosing, tamping, and beverage ratios.
• Create consistent and attractive Latte Art, with the ability to produce designs such as heart, tulip, rosetta, etc.
• Ensure consistency in taste, temperature, presentation, and portioning of every beverage.
• Operate and maintain commercial espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Understand basic coffee beans, roast profiles, grind settings, extraction time, and coffee quality.
• Handle customer orders efficiently through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Interact with corporate guests and employees in a warm, courteous, confident, and professional manner.
• Understand customer preferences and provide appropriate recommendations on beverages.
• Handle customer queries, feedback, and service concerns professionally and escalate issues when required.
• Maintain high standards of personal grooming, hygiene, cleanliness, and professional appearance at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee counter, equipment, service area, and back-of-house area.
• Follow prescribed recipes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory and stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, consumables, and other café supplies.
• Assist with stock receiving, storage, stock rotation, wastage control, and inventory reconciliation.
• Minimize wastage while maintaining product quality and availability.
• Perform daily opening and closing procedures, including machine cleaning, grinder cleaning, counter setup, and closing checks.
• Maintain awareness of product availability and inform the supervisor of replenishment requirements.
• Work effectively with the hospitality/service team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support special corporate events, meetings, conferences, and VIP guest services when required.
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism while working in a premium corporate environment.
