Job Description

Looking for an Assistant Cook to help prepare fresh, delicious café food, including sandwiches, salads, pasta, and other Continental and Italian dishes.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare sandwiches, salads, pasta, and other café dishes by following our existing recipes.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Handle ingredients, kitchen equipment, and food storage properly.
  • Assist with daily kitchen preparation and inventory management.
  • Follow food safety standards and maintain an organised kitchen.

Requirements

  • Basic cooking skills and an interest in Continental and Italian cuisine.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is preferred.
  • Punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn.
