Job Description
About the RoleWe are looking for an energetic and customer-centric Retail Sales Executive to drive walk-in sales, build lasting customer relationships, and deliver an outstanding in-store experience at our Guntur and Vijayawada locations. This is a B2C-focused role where your personality, product knowledge, and selling skills will directly impact revenue and brand loyalty.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue
- Actively engage walk-in customers, understand their culinary and kitchen needs, and recommend suitable products from Hoverse's range
- Achieve monthly and quarterly individual sales targets set by the store/sales manager
- Drive upselling and cross-selling of complementary products (e.g., pairing cookware with cutlery sets, knife blocks with sharpeners)
- Convert inquiries into confirmed purchases through effective product demonstrations and consultative selling
- Monitor daily sales performance and proactively bridge gaps to meet targets
Customer Engagement
- Deliver a warm, knowledgeable, and personalized in-store customer experience at every touchpoint
- Conduct live product demonstrations of cookware, knives, cutlery sets, and kitchen tools to showcase quality and usability
- Handle customer queries, product comparisons, and complaints with patience and professionalism
- Build and maintain a loyal customer base through follow-up calls, WhatsApp updates, and personalized service
- Assist customers in gifting selections — corporate gifting, wedding registries, and festive gifting requirements
Store & Inventory Operations
- Maintain attractive and organized product displays and shelf arrangements as per visual merchandising standards
- Ensure all products are correctly tagged, priced, and well-stocked on the floor
- Conduct regular stock checks and report low inventory levels to the store manager
- Assist in periodic stock audits and inventory reconciliation
- Ensure store hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards are maintained at all times
Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain daily sales records — bills, invoices, and customer data — accurately in the billing/POS system
- Share daily and weekly sales reports with the reporting manager
- Coordinate with the warehouse/backend team for stock replenishments and product deliveries
- Participate in promotional events, product launches, and in-store campaigns organized by Hoverse
- Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum qualification: 10+2 (Intermediate) — a Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred
- 1–4 years of experience in retail sales, showroom sales, or FMCG/lifestyle product sales
- Strong Telugu and English communication skills — Hindi is an added advantage
- Confident, presentable, and customer-friendly personality
- Basic knowledge of kitchen products, cookware, or culinary tools is a plus
- Ability to handle a fast-paced retail floor with multiple customers simultaneously
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic billing software
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as per retail store schedule
