Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Manufacturing Quality Engineer to build, manage, and drive our quality framework for high-precision defense, aerospace, and drone components. In this critical role, you will own the entire quality lifecycle—from New Product Introduction (NPI) to volume manufacturing. You will be responsible for executing rigorous Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP), managing advanced CMM metrology operations, and acting as the primary quality liaison during technical reviews with global stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Geometrical & Dimensional Metrology: Execute First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process dimensional validations, and final product verifications for tight-tolerance machined components using CMM (Accurate Spectra) and precision hand tools.
• Metrology Programming & Strategy: Translate complex measurement requirements from 2D/3D CAD models and GD&T specifications into highly efficient measurement programs utilizing RationalDMIS software.
• APQP & PPAP Execution: Lead the complete PPAP process for all NPIs. Develop, implement, and maintain core quality frameworks including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Measurement System Analyses (MSA).
• Process Control & Root Cause Analysis: Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor production stability on Cosmos VMCs (Mitsubishi controls). Rapidly diagnose and resolve quality non-conformances, offset deviations, and machining issues using 8D, 5-Why, and RCA methodologies.
• Global Client Interfacing: Act as the primary technical quality liaison for North American and international clients. Lead technical discussions, present PPAP capability agendas, and seamlessly communicate complex dimensional data and CMM reports to foreign stakeholders.
• Process Validation & Leadership: Work collaboratively with production and engineering to validate tooling and fixturing setups prior to manufacturing. Enforce rigorous quality protocols on the shop floor while maintaining alignment with production schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience: 5+ years of extensive experience in Metrology / Quality Assurance within a precision CNC machining environment (Defense or Aerospace background is highly preferred).
• GD&T Expertise: Advanced command of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles as per ASME Y14.5 standards, with deep experience in its application for precision part validation.
• Hardware & Software: Hands-on proficiency in operating and programming an Accurate Spectra CMM using RationalDMIS software is strictly required.
• Quality Systems: Indisputable expertise in the full suite of APQP core tools, PPAP submission packages, and FAI documentation.
• Communication: Exceptional technical communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to confidently interface with global clients and OEMs.
• Mindset: A detail-obsessed strategic thinker who demonstrates absolute ownership of the quality framework and the indisputable dimensional integrity of the final product.

Education

• UG: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a closely related field.
