Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager / Production In-Charge to oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure achievement of monthly production targets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, supply chain coordination, quality compliance, and customer interaction while maintaining operational efficiency and productivity.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations
  • Experience in the Automobile Industry and Hard Chrome Plating processes will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and monitor production activities to achieve monthly production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Manage and optimize manpower allocation based on production requirements.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and stores teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Monitor production efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with customers regarding production status, delivery schedules, and quality concerns.
  • Implement and sustain 5S, Kai zen, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Maintain production records, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Drive problem-solving activities to minimize downtime and improve process performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and customer expectations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Good understanding of supply chain and inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Customer coordination and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Professional email communication and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs and process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
