Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. QMS Documentation Management

o Prepare, review, control, and maintain all QMS documents, including procedures, 

formats, records, manuals, and quality plans.

o Ensure effective document control, revision management, and availability of the 

latest approved documents across all departments.

o Maintain records and ensure compliance with applicable IATF 16949 

requirements.

2. PPAP Documentation

o Prepare, review, and maintain complete Production Part Approval Process

(PPAP) documentation as per customer requirements.

o Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchase, and Supplier Quality for 

APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, dimensional reports, and other PPAP 

elements.

o Ensure timely submission and approval of PPAP documents.

3. SOP & Work Instruction Development

o Prepare and implement SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, and 

process documents for new production line setups and process changes.

o Ensure documents are available at respective workstations and employees are 

trained on the latest revisions.

4. Internal Audits & Certification

o Plan and conduct internal QMS, process, and product audits as per the audit 

schedule.

o Ensure qualification as an internal auditor and obtain relevant external auditor 

certification/training through recognized agencies.

o Coordinate IATF 16949/ISO 9001 certification audits, customer audits, and 

surveillance audits.

5. Management Review (MR)

o Plan and coordinate Management Review Meetings (MRM).

o Prepare and maintain all Management Review records, including agendas, KPI 

performance, audit results, customer complaints, supplier performance, risks, 

objectives, action plans, and meeting minutes.

o Follow up on action items and ensure timely closure.

6. Cross-Functional QMS Compliance

o Coordinate with all departments to ensure implementation of IATF 16949 

requirements and maintenance of departmental documents and records.

o Monitor non-conformities, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and 

effectiveness verification.

o Support continual improvement initiatives and ensure audit findings are closed 

within defined timelines.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control 

Plans, and customer-specific requirements.

• Experience in QMS implementation, documentation, internal audits, and certification 

audits.

• Strong coordination, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and quality management tools
