Job Description

The General Insurance Manager drives portfolio growth, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages client and agent relationships. This role balances team leadership with technical risk evaluation to maintain a profitable portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Sales: Lead sales and marketing teams to achieve personal and commercial line targets. Oversee policy issuance, renewals, and daily office workflows.
  • Risk & Claims Management: Analyze policy risks, assess exposure, and monitor claims investigations to keep loss ratios low.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor staff, conduct regular performance reviews, and set clear departmental objectives.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (such as IRDAI guidelines in India) and prepare management information system (MIS) reports.
