Job Description
English Teacher – Competitive Exams
About the Role
Defence BrahMos Academy is looking for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to teach and mentor young students preparing for competitive school entrance examinations such as Sainik School, RMS (Rashtriya Military Schools), Navodaya Vidyalaya and other similar entrance exams.
The students are primarily preparing for Class 6th and Class 9th entrance examinations. The residential students at the academy are from Class 3rd to Class 8th, so the role requires someone who enjoys working with young learners and can make English concepts easy, engaging and exam-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach English to students preparing for competitive school entrance examinations.
* Prepare students for Sainik School, RMS, Navodaya Vidyalaya and similar exams.
* Cover grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, reading, writing and other relevant exam topics.
* Conduct regular tests, practice sessions and doubt-clearing classes.
* Monitor students’ academic progress and provide individual guidance where required.
* Create a positive, disciplined and engaging classroom environment.
* Mentor and motivate young students to improve their English and overall confidence.
* Coordinate with other faculty members regarding students’ academic performance.
* Help students develop strong fundamentals required for competitive examinations.
Eligibility & Skills
* Graduate/Postgraduate in English or a relevant discipline.
* Prior teaching experience will be an advantage.
* Experience in teaching school students or competitive-exam aspirants is preferred.
* Strong command of English grammar and vocabulary.
* Good communication and classroom-management skills.
* Ability to teach and mentor young children (Class 3rd–8th).
* Patient, responsible, disciplined and student-friendly approach.
* Willingness to work in a residential academy environment.
